Business Core
Foundational coursework in financial and managerial
accounting, business principles, management, Excel for business, business
systems, professional development, legal environment of business, applied
statistics and analytics, macroeconomics, managerial finance, and marketing
principles, alongside a required business administration internship.
Marketing Core
Marketing-specific coursework in consumer behavior,
marketing research, and integrated marketing communications, plus twelve hours
of marketing electives chosen from areas including digital marketing, sales
management and personal selling, services marketing, marketing channel
management, international marketing strategies, event management and marketing,
sports marketing, and new venture creation.

Additional hours in FSC's WRIGHT Foundations, BS degree

The Marketing Minor at Florida Southern College is open to all students, both within and outside the Barnett School of Business. Student Zayne Loftin did exactly that, winning FSC's Shark Tank with a holistic transdermal patch and using his Seed-to-Scale Accelerator funding to bring it to market.

Through faculty-led projects, marketing students build real campaigns for local, regional, and national organizations, including the Lakeland Convention and Visitors Bureau, United Way, Papa John's, UPS, and Two Men and a Truck. Every project strengthens your portfolio and your professional network.

In FSC's Digital Marketing course, you can earn three industry-recognized credentials, HubSpot Social Media, HubSpot Email Marketing, and Google PPC, the same certifications working marketing professionals hold, before you graduate.

Join FSC's Enactus chapter and put your entrepreneurial skills to work on social issues. Recent projects include raising awareness of free hearing-aid services and building a voucher system to get farm-fresh food to inner-city families.
