Office of Student Travel

What's Covered?
When comparing Junior Journeys, it helps to look at what the price includes. Junior Journeys now cover:
- Full-service transportation, door to door from Florida Southern to your destination and back
- All lodging, including on-campus housing, before the trip and throughout your travels
- All meals
Souvenirs, additional meals, and optional free-time excursions are at your own expense.
How to Apply
Juniors and seniors: if you're in your fourth semester or higher (or third or higher as a transfer), you may be eligible for this year's travel. Apply before you graduate to use your one-time reduced-cost Junior Journey.
Applications are submitted through the Travel tab on the FSC Portal, where you'll select the travel experience you want. Applications open for the following semester, so you cannot apply for a travel experience in the same semester it runs. See the Application Guide for a full walkthrough.
What's Required?
To join a Florida Southern travel program, you must have:
- A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
- A clear business office and student accountability record
- A completed travel application, submitted through the FSC Portal when it opens
- Valid document submissions and a deposit, once instructed by the Office of Student Travel.
You must meet these requirements both when you sign up and again immediately before departure.
Getting Started: Your Passport
Now's a great time to make sure your passport is ready. You'll need one valid for at least six months beyond your trip's return date. If you're applying for a new passport or renewing, start at the official U.S. Passport website. If you hold a passport from a country other than the U.S., notify the Office of Student Travel when you apply, since you may need a visa.

Considering a Full Semester?
If you'd rather spend a full term abroad, Florida Southern partners with agencies worldwide to connect you to institutions in Ireland, China, Brazil, Australia, and more, so you can complete your graduation requirements overseas. Financial aid and scholarship details live there, too.
