Computer Labs, Equipment & Software

The Rinker Technology Center gives students access to a full range of computers, software, and equipment for coursework, creative projects, and more. Here's everything you need to know before you visit.

Lab Overview

The central student lab has 30 computers, both PCs and Macs, plus printers and two scanner stations. Printing runs through our PaperCut system and costs 10 cents per page for black and white and 20 cents per page for color.

For questions about lab printing, contact the Rinker Technology Center at 863.616.6426.

A Few Things to Know Before You Visit

  • Users are responsible for their own supplies, including CDs, USB flash drives, and printer paper.
  • All computers are equipped with hard drive protection software to prevent viruses and ensure consistent operation.
  • Any changes to programs or files saved to lab computers are erased when the computer restarts. Please save your work to your own storage before leaving the lab.

  • No smoking in the lab.
  • Do not install personal or unauthorized programs on lab computers.
  • Maintain a respectful environment. Loud, disruptive, or abusive language or behavior will not be tolerated and may result in revocation of lab privileges or disciplinary referral.
  • No harassment or defamatory remarks toward others in the lab.
  • The lab administrator — or, in their absence, lab assistants and monitors — reserves the right to dismiss anyone found to be in violation of these rules.
