Early Action or Early Decision?
Both options share the same Nov. 1 application deadline and the same Dec. 15 decision, and both put you ahead for scholarships, housing, and registration. The difference is commitment.
Early Action Is Non-Binding
You'll get your decision early and keep your options open, comparing offers from other schools before you decide. Your enrollment deposit isn't due until May 1.
Early Decision Is Binding
You apply Early Decision when Florida Southern is your clear first choice. If you're admitted, you agree to enroll and withdraw applications to other schools. Your enrollment deposit is due Jan. 15 to secure your spot.

Apply for free with the FSC Preferred Application or add Florida Southern to your Common App. If Florida Southern is your first choice, select Early Decision on your application.

Ask your school counselor to send your high school transcript to Florida Southern. Test scores are optional. Send them if you think they strengthen your application.

You'll receive your admission decision by Dec. 15. While you wait, plan a campus visit. You'll earn the Southern Experience Scholarship just for coming to see us.
