Institutional Research and Effectiveness

Data drives good decisions, and the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness is here to make sure Florida Southern has the right information at the right time.

Our office provides data, research, and analysis in support of FSC's mission and strategic plan. We serve as the central repository for institutional data, reporting definitions, and reporting standards–supporting academic departments, administrative units, and external partners with accurate, reliable information.

Whether you're a faculty or staff member with a data request, an external organization seeking institutional information, or simply looking for quick facts about Florida Southern, we're here to help.

What We Do

  • National Student Clearinghouse (NSC): enrollment and degree reporting
  • External Reporting: mandatory reporting for federal and professional organizations, including IPEDS, CUPA-HR Faculty, and AAUP
  • External Surveys: voluntary survey responses for publications and organizations, including U.S. News & World Report, The Princeton Review's Best Colleges, and the College Board's Annual Survey of Colleges
  • Internal Surveys: end-of-course evaluations, graduating student surveys, first destination surveys, NSSE, and SSI
