Find Scholarships

Scholarships reduce the cost of college and do not need to be repaid. These search tools can help you find opportunities that match your interests, achievements, and background.

Don't Overlook Local Scholarships

Community-based scholarships from churches, civic organizations, local businesses, and community foundations are often less competitive than national awards, which can mean better odds for you. Ask your high school counselor about local opportunities, and check with organizations you or your family are already connected to. Good places to start:

  • Your church, mosque, synagogue, or other place of worship
  • Civic groups like Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions Club, or Elks Lodge
  • Local community foundations
  • Unions or employers where family members work
  • Local businesses and chambers of commerce
